Task Backlog Estimator
This is built for rough time/delay estimates and ordering priorities, not a full-blown scheduler. It's not designed for accuracy - it's for getting a quick sense of where projects might land, proposing an order for them, and understanding the impact when more projects get added to the pile.
Base your day/week estimates on what you can realistically get done, not on pure focused time. A "week" doesn't have to mean 5 uninterrupted business days on just that one thing - it's more useful if it reflects what you actually expect to get done once other priorities and interruptions are factored in.
IMPORTANT:
Estimates always skip weekends when calculating time.
Tips
- Use the Days/Weeks button to toggle how effort is estimated.
- Cards are ordered by priority, top to bottom - drag a card to reorder it.
- Ctrl/Cmd-click or Shift-click to select multiple cards and edit them all at once.
- Today always means the actual current date - open the plan again next month and it'll have quietly moved forward with you, still "Today". Tap the lock icon next to the start date to fix it to today's date instead: everything reschedules from that fixed point even as real time keeps moving, so you can come back later and compare how far you've actually gotten against where you meant to be.
